Purchase post-hole digging implement and transport vehicle for farming efficiency and hauling harvests to market
Picture yourself and your family planting 2000 coffee trees and 1700 banana trees a half-mile down a winding path. The trees are currently 4 feet tall with a root ball. They each need a 2 foot diameter x 2 foot deep hole dug and each hole must be filled with manure. Your only tools for completing these tasks are hoes, machetes, small shovels, wheelbarrows and your own hands. Now do this in 95 degree heat. Daunting does not come close to describing the challenge.
We now have a modern New Holland tractor on the land. It is already plowing and prepping land for planting reducing the agricultural burden significantly. We still need funding for a post hole digger (~$5000) and a transport vehicle (~$15,000) to haul animals and produce to market and transport manure to spread as fertilizer.
